First Aid Course Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Where are you?
Although we are based in Southampton City Centre we are able to train anywhere in the UK, we can even provide training at your business site. Firstaidsouthampton can also offer regular training sessions using meeting rooms in your local area.

Is lunch provided?
Lunch may be provided at an extra cost at the time of booking. However most of our public courses are held within the city centre so there are many places available for you to purchase lunch. For bookings at your venue then lunch would be as your normal working day.
What happens if I fail my assessment?
Our Trainers are there to get you to the required standard before your assessment. However if a student does fail you will need to re-sit the course at a further cost.
I need to catch a train, what time do you finish?
Every course is different, please tell the trainer at the beginning of your course and he/she will do all they can to finish on time.
Are the assessments at the end of the course?
Yes. There are written and practical assessments.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, course material is provided however a pen is always helpful.
Can you come to our business to provide In-House training for our staff?
Yes! Please contact us to make arrangements.
I have completed a First Aid course in the past, do I need a new one?
On your certificate there will be an expiry date. If you are out of date you will need to complete the required First Aid course for your employer. If not, we suggest you complete a refresher course to polish up those old skills.
What happens if I cancel at the last moment?
Unfortunately unforeseen circumstances do prevent people from turning up. If less than 7 days notice to cancel is given, a full invoice will be sent to your employer.
I have not received my certificate?
We only send out certificates when payment from your employer has been received. If you have not received your certificate please contact your Line Manager.
